Cross-Country Girls at STATE!
Well, this is NOT my usual photo shoot post but that's OK. I am SO proud of these girls... they have worked really hard! They took first at every region meet they went to this year. They took first in Region and then today, they took second in STATE! I found this little cross-country quote; goes like this: "Cross Country: No half times, no time outs, no substitutions. It must be the only true sport." Not really, but I do believe that this sport doesn't get the credit it deserves. These are amazing athletes! GREAT JOB, GIRLS!!! Thanks coach Southwick.
Below is the photo from Region last week... the rest are from STATE at Sugar House Park.
On a personal note...
Thank you, Tina Anderson, for taking the time to run with the girls, give advise and help them so much. YOU ROCK!
Thanks to a little group of cheerleaders... Aunt Charmaine, MaKell, Nicole, Bianca and Lily! You're all so wonderful to take time to come cheer on the badgers!
And lastly... Thanks to a special person that Lauren (and I beleive many others) has looked up to since she was tiny in elementary school! Sarah Ellett Taylor, you have been an inspiration to so many! I cannot think of a better person to try and be like when running or on a personal level. You are a wonderful role model!!!
